Winter Tires a Requirement Effective 1 Jan 18

Dedicated winter tires will be required after January 1,
2018. All season tires with the M+S symbols will not be the requirement. Tires
must have the alpine snowflake symbol to be legal. There is a grandfather clause
valid until 30 September 2024.

... be a part of the the Story....

Tires PRODUCED (!!) after Jan. 18 have to have this.

So if your DoT on the tires you buy next year show on the last nummers "18" you have to have this.

So - your tires now - you do not have to replace.

For safetyreasons - the snowflake-Mountainpeak is still highly recommanded. It shows, that the tires can do the winter-Job. And that only work with min. 4mm Tread on.

So - stay and drive safe!!
