EU Banking/Mortgage Law Changes

So I've heard of this new banking law that impacts EU citizens and foreigners living in the EU but I have not seen anything from my bank about it, I guess I need to go ask. What I'm really wondering is will the new laws impact my existing mortgage. Mine is with the Kreissparkasse. Does anyone have any knowledge of the new law(s) and how it will impact Americans with German mortgages?

From what I have seen and read, there is not going to be an impact.

Most banks will simply continue, as usual, working with Americans.

It shouldn't have an impact. I'm have a loan as well and just renewed one in April. Robert Mitchell helped me out and it was a non event.
