Pentagon versus Bavarian

So what's the difference? Pricing seems to be the same.

Had a good sales experience at Bavarian, friends did not with Pentagon (Ramstein). However, I am not too happy with post sales support...

Whatcha lookin' at?

Awesome!

So..... Any test drives? My folks are looking for a new diesel SUV. Drove the Grand Cherokee and like it, but unimpressed with the MPG.

Bought an X3 Diesel. Had to drive a German one because PCS won't have one to test until the same week I get mine. I looked at the Jeep, but by the time I got all the extras in it, it was actually more than an X5.

I'd love to hear your review of the X3 diesel. How will your US spec differ from the Euro-spec one you're driving now?

I'll post something...but in the meantime there's only one diesel available in the US and only one transmission. No manual....

I would have liked a bigger diesel option but I keep telling myself there's no point if I'm after low fuel consumption.

Yeah, diesel options are very limited in the US, especially if you're considering SUV's.

Not that it helps, but we rented a Hyundai cross-over something... (IX-35) in diesel and got 43.5 MPG out of it's 1.7L gutless diesel. But that was impressive I thought!

EPA is saying 50 out of the 190hp x3 28d. Hope it's good....

That's amazing for a vehicle of that size, and if it has any performance at all, you're well ahead! Being BMW, they don't generally pump out cars without some sporty performance.

I also read that the 2015 x3 is the same size as the 2006 X5. The new x5 is a behemoth now btw.

So which dealer did you go with?
