Places that take a VAT form.

Last weekend we went out to the outlet mall. We tried to use a VAT form at Tom Tailor...no go. They knew exactly what it was but would not take it. They don't have to - got it - but it might be cool to get a list going of places where you've had success using a VAT form.

Globus
Real
Saturn
Media Market
Hornbach
Ikea
VW -Rittersbacher and Gebert (take your own oil)
Atelco (computer stuff)
Mobil Martin
Kaefer's (near Hahn Airport)

I'm thinking places that do would be easier to manage. Don't you?

Perhaps I can create an Excel file and keep it alphabetized for easier reference.

I'll look into doing that when the list warrants doing so.

I was thinking a naughty list rather than a by ice, but I think you are right.

The Find It Guide only has a list of places that advertise in their book. There are plenty of places that do not advertise, but do take the VAT form.

Honda Ecker - yes
DB-Reisezentrum (KL Bahnhof) - yes
KSC Reifen - yes

The outlet mall is in there but the shop we tried to use a VAT form at did not take it.

OK.... This is starting to become a small list, which hopefully will get to be a large list.

So, as soon as the list hits 25 businesses, I will start an alphabetical list.

I think that it would also be a good idea to include the business contact info in the list.

So, if you have already added to the list, or are going to add to the list, please edit your post(s) to include:

  • Address
  • Phone
  • Web address if available

Thank you.

I was searching earlier for information about how to use a VAT form on Amazon.de. I could not find any information here on the site, so I am posting this. If you do decide to buy something from Amazon.de, please remember to use this special link, which helps support EverythingKMC.

VAT for APO-address holders or NATO troops
If you are an APO-address holder or work for the NATO troops we will be happy to refund all the VAT you were charged for your order (for order number see subject line).

For legal reasons we are required to ask you to submit the relevant completed form. You can get the form from your nearest VAT office or MWR office.

Please send the completed form together with the original invoice to:

Amazon.de
Zahlungsabteilung
Im Gewerbepark D 55
93059 Regensburg

On receiving your mail, we will transfer the appropriate VAT to your credit card account. We will return your copies as soon as possible.

Please note: If you have not purchased the items directly from Amazon.de but from a third-party seller, please contact the seller for all VAT requests. Transactions on Marketplace or zShops platform are strictly between the buyer and a third-party seller. Please see your payslip/invoice for seller details.
