Google Chromecast

Anybody using it? Are there any issues using it over a local IP here? Looks like its a great alternative to using Apple. Man I despise Apple. Post your reviews here so others can weigh in on a decision.

I'm only posting so I can agree with your despise of Apple. If you use a VPN, you won't have the IP issues, but you know that.

I used WD Live for my streaming needs. And, since it accepts a USB hard disk, you can play content from a hard disk, as well.

Edit: I am still using WD Live, now. I used the past tense, before.

Is Apple really an alternative. I mean Apple TV is so much more than Chromecast. Even Google says it's not supposed to be an Apple TV or ROKU device. Really it's just a remote to bring internet to your TV.
