Reduced rates for housing help?

I heard about there being someone who can help you look for housing, instead of charging an entire month's rent as a finder's fee, they instead charge around 10 or 20%. Does anyone have information about this? If so please PM me!

Mary,

I sent you a PM if you are interested let me know and I will send you her cell phone number just tell her Marlon referred you. I was stationed with her husband at my last two assignments and can vouch for her. She is a German citizen but a dod card holder. If you are just arriving and without a car she can assist you with making appointments and translation during your meetings. You and her both can work together on finding a home.

Can you share with the rest of the class? This is something that a lot of people will want to know. ;)

No problem everything that I posted pretty much in the reply was for the most part in the pm. I have to get in contact with Angie to see if she is ok with me giving out her number which I am sure she will be.

As far as looking for a place finding a ride to say the PX and what not since most people don't have a car. I will be willing to assist in the portion and even taking to appointments I don't speak german but most people who are renting on ahrn will either speak some English or have someone there that can.

My number is 015123476274 ask for Marlon

Will do lol

LOL!

I just wasn't sure that the person offering help would want their information on the internet for ever and ever and ever and ever.....

Marlon thanks so much for the help! Luckily our sponsor is someone we were stationed with in Korea, so she's been a great help so far- of course we haven't even arrived yet as the rotator broke down in Baltimore and we are stuck here for 1 more day.

No need for the info to be on The Net forever. You can always send Marlon a private message. It will only be seen by the two of you, that way.

So, the housing office doesn't offer assistance in taking people to look for houses?

They do only during duty day up until I think 1600.

Welcome to the forum!

They will help you and have teams that will set up appointments, take you to see the houses and even speak German.

They will only do this for your entitlement, the type of house you would get on base. So say you have two children you are entitled to a 3 bedroom. If they are available on the economy that is what they are going to make appointments for you to see. They will also look in the area you say you want to live in.

This service is primarily for people who need houses that are 3+ bedrooms, but they will assist anyone who has been diligently looking.
