Villages on/around Kaiserslautern??

Will be staying in Winnweiller when I arrive in Oct (my supervisor lives there and I can hitch a ride to work till I buy something). Once my wife arrives in later months we want to rent a home near K-town but not right in the city. Anyone know of nice villages around K-town to explore possibilities? Thanks

Take a look at the list of school districts. That list not only gives you the names of all of the surrounding villages, but also lets you know which school services which village.

All of them. Downtown Kaiserslautern is not that far, and since if you are on the west side of the area you can take the autobahn to downtown, you are never really much more than 20 minutes away. I am in the area of Schopp, and I can be downtown in about 15 minutes.

I live in Winnweiler and love it. It is a great village and you are not really far from Kaiserslautern.
