Default Dependent Dental Care in K-town

Hello,

I am curious to know where dependents receive general dental care (cleanings, x-rays & check-ups)? On base or on the economy? And, can you get cleanings every 6 months?

Second, where do dependent children get orthodontic care while the sponsor is stationed at K-town?

Thanks far any advice or recommendations on providers, etc.

My family is DoD civilian. We all have to go on the economy. Since we pay ourselves, we can go as often as we want.

I highly recommend you check out Dr. Doryumu. You can search his name in the search window at the upper right. He's beyond awesome! I also HIGHLY recommend that you steer very clear of Ramstein Dental. They are severely overpriced, and they have diagnosed my family, more than once, with dental problems that did not exist. This is why we stopped going there and were so happy to find Dr Doryumu.

Others here will have to help with orthodontics.

I may be the odd one out but I like Ramstein Dental. Well, I liked it once they got Dr. Wu in. He used to be an Air Force dentist on base at Ramstein. With Tricare, you get cleanings every 6 months and they bill Tricare direct, so you don't have to deal with any paperwork.

They do have someone to orthodonics, but I have no experience with it at that clinic.

My friends are split on Dr. Doryumu. The one who saw him today didn't like that he just did things without explaining to her what he was doing. The other friend has gone to him for several years and likes him. He speaks English. I go to a Texan in Otterbach. Can't remember his name right now though, but I really like him.

If the only thing your friend didn't like was that Dr Doryumu did things without explaining, she/he could always ask. I fear dentists, but Dr. Doryumu seems to put me at ease.

By the way, I should mention that Dr. Doryumu is a site sponsor. This happened AFTER I started using him as my dentist. He's truly great.
