Mid Month Pay Info

Due to this latest hub bub over the govt. shut down
All active duty military members will receive full mid-month pay on 15 Apr 11. There will be two deposits to the member’s bank account, but all mid-month payments will be deposited on 15 Apr 11. One deposit will be for pay accrued from 1–8 Apr 11, and the second deposit will be for 9–15 Apr 11. The current mid-month pay statements will only show the partial payment for 1-8 Apr 11. A full accounting of Apr’s pay will be available on the normal end-of-month Leave and Earnings Statement posted to MyPay accounts on 22 Apr 11.
Civilian Pay is not impacted.

I am wondering. How many people thought this was something more than political posturing? I never, even for a second, believed that this threat was anything more than political posturing. There was a clear agenda to make a certain political party look bad. An eleventh hour deal was always going to happen, in my opinion.

I really wonder if people know the real story of what this was all about?

I think there was a possibility; but, who knows. It has happened in the past...why not say it could happen in the future.

It can definitely happen in the future. I just did not see it happening this time. The feeling I got while watching the constant reporting was that it was a lot of media hype and political posturing.

If it was a political act..it was something that was truly messing with their election time. Pissing people off isn't a great way to help the votes.

Exactly! I know that people, especially the Fox News viewers (Faux News) will not like what I am saying, but...

The republicans would have loved nothing more to see the agreement not happen. That way, they could point a finger at the democrats. But, instead, they did everything they could prior to the agreement to drag it on for as long as possible. By doing this the republicans could continue saying that the democrats were not agreeing to terms (no matter how bad the terms were) and then in the 11th hour make themselves look good by saying it was they who compromised.

Political posturing is a fickle creature.

Honestly, I feel that all political parties are a bunch of wise cracks that have theirs full of their own personal agenda. I see both Democrats and Republicans on this one walking around with no self worth.

Also, msnbc was just full just like anything else, along with cnn, ect. I stopped reading it..just logged on to see if there was a change and logged back out. I hate politically based media also.

Don't even get me started on the media. They are no longer outlets of news and information. Instead, they are whores for political parties and commercialism. Oh, and the only redeeming thing for Fox is that they air House.
