Check with the youth center. There are plenty of activities.

to answer my own question and give some info i found a summer program called summer adventure through CYS Services...it looks great offering weekly camps to preteens and teens. They offer weekly day and some over night trips all over including Euro Disney, Camp Darby in Italy, mall, movies, and lots of other things! Price is veryu cheap as they provide snacks and everything is included in the price! Plus the child can take the teen shuttle to the camp ! Here is the contact info i have!

one last comment about this summer camp...my dtr just went to three weeks of the camp. we loved that she was able to meet new friends and go places we are not able to take her. the ppl in charge were nice and she liked the places they went. however, this camp has some big probelms that i would have loved for someone to share with me before i sent my dtr! The days where they have feild trips the kids are very busy and have lots of fun however if it rains the trip is cancelled without being rescheduled. Also, on days where there is nothing planned (no feild trip) the kids are literally left to do whatever they want for hours at a time. meaning they can walk around the entire base without an adult for long periods of time. No real activites are planned on days that there is not outing. So, it makes for a very long day for the kids...on the several days we did allow my dtr to go when there was nothing planned she came home saying how bored she had been all day. Also during the feild trips there were times when the kids lacked supervision. Overall, i trust my dtr so most of these things were concerning but we were able to work around. However, my dtr is a bit older. So, for younger kids attending i would be a little nervous. just an fyi! Even with this said we will be sending her next yr but only on days with trips!
