I'm trying to get this recycling stuff figured out. I've got all the pamphlets from the base and I think I've gone through all the posts and links on this site about it, but I can't seem to find an answer to these two:
What do I do with little bags that look like paper on the outside, but are a shiny silver color on the inside? Things I've run into like this: McCormick seasoning packets (like Taco seasoning, Chili seasoning, etc), dry onion soup mix, and tea bag wrappers. I'm not really sure if that silver stuff in there is paper or not. Anybody know? Maybe it's a combination material, so it goes in the yellow bag?
Cooked vegetables. Maybe I mis-heard, but I think the on-base spouses briefing said you don't put them in the bio bin. I can't find anything online that confirms this though, and I can't imagine that cooked vegetables are somehow no longer biodegradable. Did I hear correctly? No cooked veggies in the bio bin?
Thanks in advance!
