Army Family Action Plan is looking for people to participate in their annual AFAP conference taking place October 27-29 at the KCAC on Daenner Kaserne. You don't have to be Army dependents to participate! AFAP works to find solutions to issues that affect Service Members(active and reserve), Families(including children and teens), Civilians, Retirees, and Veterans. Air Force families are welcome to participate as well! Volunteers are needed for the following positions:
Delegates-Come discuss and prioritize issues that affect Armed Services Families to be sent to higher levels for consideration. Help us make change!
FRTIs-Facilitators, Recorders, Transcribers, and Issue Support volunteers help run the breakout sessions during the conference.
Why should you participate? AFAP helps bring issues to light and create change not just for Army families, but all Armed Services families.
Proof that AFAP works? The SGLI increase was a product of AFAP. The Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act, Public Law 110-314(in-state tuition for military and their dependents), and paternity leave for new military fathers were all AFAP issues that were submitted at a local AFAP conference somewhere in the world and worked their way changing policy and law.

Now, for the important part: food will be provided during the conference as well as free childcare. However, children must be enrolled with CYSS to utilize the childcare.
